    Small size, big advantages! Umbrella ella ella ey, oh sorry lost track

    Dude, you can throw this in ya trunk, behind the seat of ya pickup, keep it in a bug out bag, the possibilities are endless! I'm kind of a prepper and put them in my "secret" caches. These traps fold up to smaller than an umbrella, and that is just how it works. Like an Umbrella

    Busted Zipper

    The zipper is busted on the one I gave a friend and I was embarrassed when it was found. I tried to tell the company and all they want to do is make me jump through hoops taking pictures and all this to prove that its bad. I just want what I paid for that's all. I don't have all this technology picture downloading capability to prove. Send me a return label and I will send it back. Better yet reimburse me for the one that is busted.

  • AA+++++++TRAP!!

    I bought this thinking it was cheap. It worked great! I caught a mud turtle that drown---only 2 small holes about the size of my thumb made by the turtle's claws ---easily sewing closed. I catch more minnows with this trap than my other wire mesh cylinder traps! Best trap --5 STARS ! I don't have crabs that have torn up some of the other people leaving reviews. If you have crabs you'd better off using a wire mesh trap. I'm in the mountains of N.C. fresh water. I'm buying another to carry to the lake.

  • Nice net

    Just got the net in the mail today. My first impression is that it is very simple to use. My only complaint is that there is a zipper in the bottom of the net for emptying but there is not a hole behind the zipper. An easy fix having to cut the hole out but it should have already been cut and ready to go.

  • "A Very Functional Bait Trap"

    This is a decent bait trap, perfect with a few pieces of bread hanging beneath any boat. Easily lifted from the water allowing quick bait retrieval. I have used these from both a single-seat inflatable and bass boat with good results. What's more, smaller kids really enjoy using these traps for catching fish to examine and release. Keep away from submerged brush. I recommend these traps with no hesitation. Tight lines.

  • Great idea. Not heavy duty. Decent product under right conditions

    At first, the concept and design seem good. It does indeed open and latch like an umbrella. Folds neatly away. (I said "no" to recommend as a crab trap, in ocean, off a pier. Read below as I would recommend in many other applications.) It is also, like an umbrella, held open by "spokes." Unfortunately, those "spokes" are not heavy duty enough to withstand ocean/river currents very well. Mine bent and folded in on itself after 10 or so pulls. Straightened back out, bent main support, it lasted about 5 more pulls. I think if you were in a fairly calm body of water, placed rather than tossed off pier, it would catch quite a bit. I got many baby shrimp, one crab, and a small silver fish using chicken and shrimp(frozen) in a few hours even with it folding in on itself during pulls. BTW. There are no instructions. If you are in a moving body of water, regardless of swiftness, it really needs weight(s) to hold in place. I tied triangle lead weights to the legs to make work

  • Totally awesome product

    Okay, it got to me earlier than expected. Opened like an umbrella clothes, also the same way. Went to the Brook with my grandson and put it in overnight. Next morning my grandson and I were totally amazed. Loaded with all different types of fish. Highly recommend.

  • Traps

    Good size. Good frame. Snaps in place. Only thing is that the material seems to be cheap. But does hold up for now

  • Poorly made

    I was kind of Happy the first time I used it I caught minnows but then when I went to take them out the place where the zipper is is all sealed up so I had to cut a hole where the zipper is to get the fish out I stuck my hand through the fish holes in the little zip ties or whatever broke so I had to fix those second time I used it it collapsed when I picked it up and would not go back it was broke not very happy
