Reliable feeder
I bought this feeder after extensive research. Found Petsafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed to be the most reliable feeder. When I am not home, I trust that my dog is being fed on time and the right amount without having to worry about feeder jamming issues. Initially my dog was scared from the sound of the kibbles onto the stainless steel bowl. So I substituted the stainless steel bowl with my dogs bowl for a couple of weeks and rewarded my dog for getting near the feeder. Now my dog anticipates her feeding time and checks her bowl for food knowing it is due to dispense soon. Have been using this feeder for over a month and couldn't be happier. Expensive, complicated and noisy
Although it does the job - once you've worked out how to program it, the design leaves a lot to be desired. The conveyor belt mechanism is very noisy, and it is not easy to fit it in place after cleaning. Because of the complexity of moving parts it also takes a long time to dry it out after cleaning. Then the programming is really quite crude and basic. The manual is poorly written. It is not intuitive in the least, and took me, an experienced IT person, a while to figure it out. I only bought it because of the brand name, and because it has a slow feed feature that other feeders don't have.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This feeder has an excellent selection of meal sizes. Programming is very easy. Easy to refill. I gave it 4 stars because you can’t buy replacement parts for it. Get that sleep in you deserve!
After 3 years of being harassed in the morning by one of my greedy cats demanding food, I can finally enjoy sleeping in on the weekends and waking up without having to rush to feed them dry food. I bought one of these after reading some of the reviews on Amazon. Suffice to say it's one of the best investments I've made in a while. Very easy to program and setup. I use this to feed two cats.
