A Good But Not Great Cyber Shot Camera.
Sony Camera DSC-W650 This is a typical point and shoot auto focus little sony camera. It has a 16.1 mega pixels which is a greater details for a large but not too large printing and Sony provides more details on its pixels than other camera brands. With the 16 mp on the camera and 720 HD on the video. This Sony provides vibrand pictures and clear and a little blue Ray like on the video especially on the cloudy day and makes it somehow more truely on natural and it's fine if you're not so picky on the camera shooting. More over, all these DSCs have Carl zeil lens from Germany that is great on the shooting photos. The camera has a 3' LCD screen and all the Menu setting and control buttons are on the right hand side and a power on/off plus shutter buttons are on top of the camera. All the friendly control buttons are so simple and easy to use with its following icon pictures that everyone can understand. By default,the control slider is on the camera shooting mode. Slide it one step down to the next is a panorama 360 degree wide angle intelligent sweeping mode that can continueing shooting to cover up everything around you with this wide mode and the last mode is HD video recording. This little Sony Cyber Shot camera has a 5x on optical zoom and 20x digital and it's also built in speaker for the video recording and it's stabilization mode which is automatically stabilized the shooting objects on taking the pictures or videos no matter how shaking you are when mobile. Hands down on this stabilization mode.There are several cons of this Sony that there is no touch screen like my other Sony DSC-T110 16.1 mp camera and it's also lack of internal charging with the data cable through the computer like the newer Cyber DSC cameras. Lastly, it's battery door is tent to be easily break. A very thiny piece of plastic latch is very fragiled. That very small plastic is hooked on the metal hint under neath and locked if pressed down and push forward then backward is unlocked and battery door will be unlocked and pop up automatically by the spring along the door. Be very careful when close the battery door. You much apply a little more pressure which is enough but not too much presure to push it down properly until that thiny latch reaches all the way through the metal gap and push it forward to lock the battery door. Otherwise, that little linga will break when it heads on the metal instead of the safety locking gap. Mine is broken and I used a little electrical tap to hold the battery door so I warn other owners watch out for this. I gave it three stars because of these drawbacks of the camera. Nowadays, smartphones are so popular and everyone has at least one or two and a typical smartphone and neither to say on the hi-end smartphones have miles ways better on taking HD photos or 4K videos and I beleive these good cameras will be the past and obsoleted.
