Great value for a Region Free Blu Ray and DVD Player
I got a refurbished (repaired) unit for a bargain price of about AU$54 from Laser and am very happy with it so far. The refurbished units only have a 3 month warranty instead of the new one’s 3 year warranty and come with a few minor scuffs and scratches but at that price I can’t complain about those things or about it’s slightly less than ideal DVD picture quality (upscaled DVDs are a bit blurry when compared with the same DVDs in my Panasonic DVD and Blu Ray player, which upscales extremely well). Blu Rays are however sharp. The unit’s features are really good: it’s possible to adjust picture quality easily (resolution, colour depth, sharpness, brightness and saturation) and open the disc tray using the remote and also to play all the most common video file types via USB. The best feature is of course the fact that the unit is completely Region Free so you can play disc from any part of the world without hassles. A bargain!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Cheap and not worth the money
I am a 66 year old person and I found that the set up menu of this DVD player impossible. It plugged in easy and I could use it in a limited way to view DVD disks and USB sticks but I could not get it properly set up as to how I wanted it because the internal set up menu was too hard for me to follow. I read through the owners manual but it is very limited in its information and was really no help at all. The remote control while being of a larger size has VERY small buttons and my fingers often pressed 2 buttons at once as they are so close together. When using the remote there is a time lag between pressing the buttons and the change at the player. I thought that I was buying from a person on ebay but the DVD player came from Kogan's and was wrapped in there Kogan wrappings. My First Blu-ray Player
Our DVD player died so it was time to upgrade. With a technophobe wife, a techfreak son and me with shallow pockets. So it had to be easy to use, good quality and not too expensive. Was a bit concerned about being a factory refurb but I couldn't see anything wrong when it arrived - especially since Auspost delivered it with their usual care and attention. Dropped it (literally) at the front door and bolted. But it works fine. The wife has already managed to successfully use it several times - so she is happy. And I only had to show her once. No problems connecting it to the home network - works fine with my Synology NAS. The picture quality is a noticeable improvement over our previous DVD player - both for Blu-ray movies and DVDs. Overall - it may not have as many features as the more expensive, "well known" brands and they may have even better picture quality but the whole family is happy with this unit. A good compact player
Can't really complain about anything, especially at the price I paid. Remote is very small even for me, and I have small hands. Needs to be pointed directly at the correct spot on the unit, but you get used to it. I have only played R4 and Region free blu-ray disc's, and they work fine. Good Value
I found the unit easy to hook up and use. Image quality was quite good on both DVD and Bluray, The remote was a little small for my fat fingers so I needed to be careful and choose the right button. Good, could be better
I order two units (one for each kid) for a long road trip. They worked well and the kids enjoyed them. Couple small improvements 1) maybe a little more rugged ... they seemed to have a bit too much plastic and could easily be broke by the kids 2) The DVD lid pops open too easily 3) the headrest holder didn't work too well 4) it could use some internal memory 4/8 Gb to store some shows to save on the USB connection. Great little DVD Player
Fantastic, small, works all region codes, has a few quirks with my TV. The remotes work on both machines so when I adjust the sound, the dvd goes back to the beginning or the end, they turn on with both, (which I love so I don't have to turn on both machines.) Great Player but Horrible Remote
This is a fantastic player but the worst remote I have ever used. The buttons are too small and you have to press them exactly right to get them to work. I’ve had to buy a universal remote to use with it. A great little machine
I had a lot of region free DVDs from yesteryear and got a 4K TV and Blu-Ray player and just needed something to show my DVDs and this does the job but also have the option for overseas 1080p Blu-Ray discs as well. The image quality is pretty good I wouldn't say great but very acceptable. I really like the menu system it's easy to use and plays the discs nicely. Doesn't get hot after watching a movie.
