Outstand Manual Transmission Fluid
This gear oil is wonderful! I learned from an independent third part oil and lubrication expert that Nissan developed some very high quality gear oils over the past decade. I decided to try this Nissan/Infinity Manual Transmission Fluid in my 1995 Alfa Romeo's 5-speed manual transaxle, as it requires a GL-4 rated oil. After extended use, I can report that the shifting between gears is smooth, especially in cool weather, and the transaxle operates quietly.

Much better than redline!
I have a 2004 Nissan Xterra with a manual transmission. Since the day I bought it I had occasional trouble shifting gears. Last winter, I had changed the oil out with Redline MT90, which never helped. Before pulling the transmission someone suggested using the oem fluid. I changed the fluid a few weeks ago and so far its been doing much better. I still hear a little whining in the transmission but it has greatly improved the shifting issue. I know there's another company producing this oil for Nissan, but you're better off spending the extra money for oem fluids than even buying the high end brand name aftermarket stuff.

When i got my truck 3 winters ago the shifting was very stiff in the mornings here in Ohio. So i switched to Amsoil gl4 MTF. It seemed fine for awhile but after a year or so it would grind going into 2nd and sometimes 5th. My main problem though was when i was at a stop and throw it into 1st it would grind like a mother almost every time. I ordered the 4 quarts of factory Nissan mtf gl4 and so far it has made an amazing difference. No more grinding at all idk whats in this stuff but it works better than amsoil in my truck. I will buy again when the time comes. Thank you.
