Easy an Convenient!
This product is good! My daughter and 10 year old son installed it. I purchased it for the front door. You must follow instructions. They missed part where you push lock button and install battery at the same time, you must do it or it won't work! Other than that it's very convenient, no more keys, it stores up to 8 codes. Have one on all our entrance doors.
This is a grade two certified lock, not as good as a three, but is a better quality lock for the most part. It is easy to install in a short period of time, and easy to program. Codes are easily changed and I have all of them keyed to use the same key should the battery go dead. This is easy to do as well so long as you have another Kwikset lock and follow the directions. It is said to be bump proof and pick resistant, whatever that means. I use Lithium batteries and they last several months. You can program in up to eight codes and as I said earlier, easily change them at any time. You do not have to reprogram the codes when you change batteries. We love them, no fishing for keys all the time and great for when we have people caring for our dog while we are gone. awesome lock, I highly recommend
Took about 20 minutes total from start to finish to install, that included removing the existing deadbolt. Everything fit as it should..followed instructions ..lock works perfect..i did turn all 3 switches to off inside the unit when to extend battery life..and didnt really need beeping, led flashing every 6 second or the auto lock feature since door stays open all day weather permitting to let in fresh air thru storm door, would be nice to be able to put in more than just 2 codes though..thats the only negative...some people complained its loud when locking and unlocking but I dont think thats fair or accurate..any electric motor makes noise when turning as this one does..plus the noise stopping lets you know the deadbolt is done and you can open the door or walk away. dont really need one for the back door but thinking about getting one anyway because they are so awesomeVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

other then the instructions not telling you how the lock knows where to start and end its travel, the actual product itself works fantastic. It is also much cheaper then buying it a home improvement store. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a deadbolt electronic lock!

Kwikset is the best!
I have 3 sets of this lock installed and I love them. I have purchased used sets for parts only. Therefore, when I was installing this lock for my mother-in-law and the lock was missing the main bolts that hold both sides of the lock together, I had the spare parts from another lock!
