Awesome little portable calculator
I purchased this one to replace my old one. My old one lasted me 20 some odd years.? I know my oldest son was a baby and he's 24 now. Love this calculator! Exactly what I wanted, just not expecting it to fail so soon.
This purchase was to replace a Casio printing calculator very similar to this new one purchased, that had failed after 8 years of trouble free use. The new but vintage Casio replacement purchased is a HR-8B model. As I received this product, it was still in the box an deemed new. However, after less than one days use, I the printer failed. Apparently the rubber rollers had dry rotted and cracked. So, no paper feed. Because I am an electrical engineer, I was able to remove the still functioning old Casio printer module (soldered to the processor PCB) and replace the new Casio calculator printer module with my old one. After that 45 minute adventure, I now have a fully functional nearly new Casio calculator that works fine. I am not laying fault with who I purchased this product. After inspection of the two printer modules (both having the same foot print), it is clear the newer Casio printer module is not constructed of the same high quality materials as the older, but very similar model.

Does not seem like it was tested.
