Finally A Food Processor That Does It All
The Breville Sous Chef 16 cup food processor is worth all it costs. After having more than a few in my life this one is by far the most durable, powerful, easy to clean, well thought out, and pleasure to use. The ease with cutting veggies is a time saver. I made almond butter and have never experienced such a difference in the taste. Really Good!. Store bought doesn't come close. I am not happy it is made in China but what are we going to do. Thanks Breville and I am looking forward to getting one of your ice cream makers in the future. P. S. Doesn't last
I had it for 8 months. It worked jubilantly in the first 6 months and the blades have started to be blunt. Today I was making cookie dough and heard a crack sound and smell burning plastic, there was one crack in the lid and one in the small bowl. The top part of the mini blade was covered with melted plastic too. I called Breville and was told the accessories were not covered, now I have to get them replaced. It was a great product easy to clean and powerful until now, the accessories are not well made in my opinion, for this price. If no accessories, a processor with such a strong motor is a garbage

What an awesome kitchen appliance!
Wife said she wanted a good food processor, so naturally I searched on eBay. There were several good choices, but after looking at the Breville BFP800XL, the clear choice was there is no other choice! The wife used it to slice potatoes and it sliced them so quickly she thought she had broken the machine. She also chopped up some lamb for making lamb stew, and again this machine did it flawlessly. Making coleslaw is quick and easy, as well as using some of the other tools which comes with this fantastic machine. Saves my wife (and me) lots of time in the kitchen, as I was the one she would hand the cabbage and a hand grater to, so no more skinned knuckles for me, and what would take me 15 to 20 minutes of work, now takes her less than a minute. We are considering purchasing another for our daughter-in-law, as she would find this machine would save her lots of time in the kitchen as well. This truly is one time, when investing a little more to start with really pays off in the long run. The extra wide chute is well designed, as it also doubles with the built-in standard round chute. This is the powerful beast you've been looking for....
This Food Processor replaced a 30 year old model of a different brand. It is a little pricey, but certainly worth it if you use one for making dishes for a medium to large breakfast / lunch / dinner party. The adjustable slicing blade is so versatile - from almost paper thin slices to large chunky and several in between widths. Grating is a breeze as is the whipping disc for whipped cream (we use coconut cream) Its easy to put together and take apart. Has a pulse option and it usually takes 3 seconds to pulverize anything. The only downside is that it seems that water has gotten into the bowl handle and the handle is all foggy. OH, and the food shoot at the top of the bowl can fit entire small to medium potatoes! Possibly a whole bag of carrots... certainly a 1/2 of a large onion. The speed and strength is unmatched compared to the others we tried. Takes up a fair amount of counter space what with the gear box (which stands up nicely on its hinges to use LESS counter space.) but after using it a few times, it earned its place on the counter forever.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Terrific food processor
When we were looking for a great food processor we looked at many reviews for all major brands and whittled the list down to a Breville model and one other used and recommended by a major cooking show. After going back and forth several times we decided that the Breville package (not only price but also performance, included accessories, and warranty) would be the best choice for our needs. We then compared the Sous Chef 12 and 16 cup models and purchased the Breville BFP800XL 16 cup Sous Chef food processor. After using it for a month on an almost daily basis it has performed flawlessly. From shredding frozen butter to chopping nuts to mixing doughs it has met all our expectations. Breville Sous Chef 16 is AH-MA-ZING!
I wasn't prepared for the power this machine harnesses. The speed is unbeatable and the wide mouth is such a time saver because it takes a load and powers through with ease. Why...it's faster than sending a body down a wood chipper with much more even cuts and a whole lot less mess. It slices and dices better than Dexter with much more precision and cleanup is a breeze with the dishwasher safe bowl and blades. This processor is for the adventurous and creative person who wants an easy-to-use machine that does it all and more. The size of the workbowl accommodates two pizza crusts or a family-sized cake. It makes julienne strips which I only thought could be gotten in a restaurant. The blade catches all the dough or batter. It is easy to assemble; just fit and turn the bowl. No standing for 20 minutes trying to get the parts to line up. An investment, yes, but it will pay for itself over time with all the wonderful things it can do. Top notch - High performance
I tend not to spend a lot of money on things for the house. However, I eat a Paleo diet and make a lot of "sticky" baked goods that have nuts and dried fruit as the base. I ruined a cheap food processor and the blender is useless. In my research, it appeared the Breville was really the only one that was effective and easy to clean. It was way too expensive for me, and I kept thinking I would find something else, but I didn't. I finally bit the bullet and paid the money, and I'm glad I did. What a difference a Breville makes
I have been using cuisinart food processors for many years. When the last one broke after two short years and the manufacturer stated the replacement parts were obsolete for my $400 food processor and not available, I thought maybe it was time for a change. Best decision I have ever made. I cannot believe the difference. The Breville is so solid, does not shimmy, and is extremely easy to clean. They have done their homework.
