Great Plug and Play
I purchased this D-link router used for use with a wireless Data link, because of its low cost it already came pre-configured and all I had to do was just plug it in and plug in my ethernet cable wich connected to my outside WiFi panel antenna and ethernet adapter and it works very well with really good coverage and data speeds. I have it installed in another building on my 3 Acre property. Using this wireless router with the set up I now currently have I did not have to have another gateway modem installed from my local cable company and also I did not have to pay rent and and high cable fees on two devices so it is saving me a lot of money I highly recommend it. I bought it and received and just followed the install instruction. There is no connection when i did configuration. And i just click the link for solve this problem. Then I went to a website called (default router connection). I talked with live chat and lady told me there will be a technician will help me out. Then the technician just access my computer and ask me some security solftware. It costs more than 100 dollars. Works great once configured
The setup was a little tricky but if you read the manual it will help you to get it configured. After I set it up it refused to connect until I unplugged and reconnected my cable modem. The router immediately connected and I was able to connect all our tablets, printer and Smart TVs without any problems. Shipping was amazing! I was surprised to get it delivered on Sunday! Operates perfectly - the wireless installation instructions were rather ambiguous
The router arrived in three days - surprisingly quickly. The wired connections required no installation and worked at once. The wireless installation was not quite that easy but eventually I was able to get the necessary security codes operational. This was a replacement for a previous D-link router that had developed a habit of losing the connection to the modem for no apparent reason. It has worked perfectly. Just What I Needed
My new digital mixer has built in wifi, but not really robust enough for the venue where I will be using it. I just needed small boost from an inexpensive, well built router that would not take up too much room. The DIR-605L is a solid, compact, inexpensive unit. Although setup could have been as easy as plug and play, I chose to change the router name and password. I highly recommed doing this and it was a quick and painless process. A good value? Beware
Works great. The problem comes from setting up the unit. I could not get it installed so went to their help section. Ended up costing me $150 to get my computer to accept their software. Its a good bargain, but be aware of what charges could be coming after. It says it comes with a firewall. It does but it costs $99/year.
