Ideal for beginners, it provides a focal length covering a wide to moderate wide-angle range. Like all Pentax lenses, the smc P-DA 18-35mm F4-5.6 zoom lens is treated with Pentax's acclaimed smc coating for maximum light transmission, sharp definition, and high contrast while minimizing flare and ghost imaging.

    Good camera.

    A good camera ... a bit dated but excellent to learn dslr on a budget ... I can use my older slr pentax lenses in the manual mode or the auto functions of the earlier programed 35mm cameras ... I am having a lot of fun learning with it and a bonus I can experiment with settings befor I go back and use my older 35mm cameras which is my major focus ... cheers.
