Product Information
It's Technics' SL-MC4, a 60-CD-plus-one CD megachanger. The SL-MC4 is a fairly loaded machine, feature-wise. It has a digital optical output, allowing you to dub digitally to a CD-R or MiniDisc deck, or to hook the SL-MC4 up straight into the digital input of a Dolby Digital receiver. Naturally, it also sports an RCA-type analog audio output. On the convenience side of the feature spectrum, it's a fairly deluxe machine, offering CD Text compatibility. This means that the player will display song titles and artist name automatically, if they're encoded on the CD. What's more, if you come across a CD that wasn't encoded with that information, you can input the info manually, a process made easier by the 10-key pad on the player's front panel. The SL-MC4 is a front-loading machine that lets you swap out discs while one's playing. A filing system allows you to sort discs by 14 different genres.Product Identifiers

Good machine with good reliablity
This is the second player of this type I use. I have an MC3 that I have had for about 20 yrs and it still works quite well. The one feature that is second rate on both models is the random play feature which I use all the time. There is a tendency to pick out the same disc and the same track on a frequent basis. I had hoped a newer model would be better in this regard but both are much the same. I like the ability to be able to exchange discs with no interruption to the play. Changing discs is a bit noisy as the disc clunk into place. Too bad these aren't still manufactured with and upgrade in technology.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
