  • Outstanding kit but for one thing

Let me begin with I am NOT an armor kit builder. 99% of my models have been aircraft and when doing armor, it was either WW 2 and occasionally, Vietnam era. Quit building models 20 some years ago, but you can't keep a die hard glue sniffer down. But instead of aircraft/armor, wondered if anyone was doing zombie/apocalypse dioramas? Boy, there's a bunch of 'em via Youtube & Google. I've got a large stash of kit vehicles from WW 2 & Vietnam in 1/35th scale, but want to show more modern vehicles because the govt. does sell older Humvee's, 6x6's, etc. to the public. I know the Stryker and other vehicles are not sold, but want to build some of them showing the military dealing with zombies. Like a bunch of Army guys running for their lives ala the Mogadishu Mile, but on Rodeo Drive, Hollywood, Calif. I watched several Youtube videos on the building of this kit and was shocked not only by this kit, but other APC's having one thing in common: NO INTERIOR? And yes, I know there's several Bradley's that do have interiors, okay? But as for the Stryker vehicles, zilch. Imagine buying an airplane kit with NO cockpit and landing gear. That's how I look at these kits. There is a resin interior for this kit, but it's $56. Then tried finding photos of the interior of this vehicle and couldn't find all the photos/angles I wanted. However, there are two OUTSTANDING books which covers all the versions of the Stryker, with all the photos needed. They're Wings & Wheels Publications Stryker in Detail, volumes 1 & 2. Cost me basically $80 for both of them, including shipping. Well worth the money spent. This kit is awesome and not only glad I bought it, but bought 2 of them. Lack on interior is why it's rated at 4 instead of 5.

  • Awesome kit

My first armor kit, but one of the best overall kits I’ve ever built as far as detail, ease of construction, and cleanly molded parts. Tons of parts, get your glasses and tweezers out!
