Iffy on a road bike
I switch an Expilion 600 between my road bike and MTB. The original mount worked well on both. This one is too narrow to clamp on the road bike after removing the shims that come with it. I use it on the MTB and it works very well, more secure than the original.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Slips on small handlebar

Smaller diameter than the one I already had...but worked on all my bicycles.
Each bike has their own now...excellent. The diameter of the plastic around the handlebar was not the same as the one that came with the light. But, the screw was long enough to attach to my handlebars and it worked well. I now have one for each of my 3 bikes which make it easy to move my lights around. Wish I had done this years ago. Love the Cygolite system. Have a Metro 360 and a 700 with removable battery. Much prefer the Metro system where the battery is permanent because the removable battery needs constant adjusting or it gets loose and flickers. Works great, although I don't need the tool-less removal ability
Since I park my bike in public places, and slide off the headlight, I probably would have been happier with a handlebar mount that requires a tool to mount, as opposed to this mount that can be taken off by hand. Better than the original bracket that came with my light.
I had to purchase this handlebar bracket as a replacement for the one that came with my Expilion light because the tiny nut that screws onto the bolt somehow lost its thread. Even though they are identically designed, this bracket seems to be a bit more durable in quality than the original.
