    Remove it Easy

I have been a Mechanic since 1987 & have personally used many different types of specialty tools & general tools over the years & I must say I am very impressed with the design of this bearing puller kit & the quality of the materials used to make it. Since purchasing this kit I have used it several times and have found it to be easy to use and have removed the necessary bearings from the equipment that I have been working on with ease. I would highly recommend this kit, it is Great value & works very well.

Completely Useless, not even useable straight out of the box, collets supplied with stripped out threads

Lets start by stating up front, if you want a tool that works DO NOT BUY THIS. This is a cheap tool and we all know "You get what you pay for". Now, whilst I acknowledge this is a cheap tool and I was under no illusions it could handle the rigorous workloads of a commercial grade equivalent, I did expect that the tool would at least be functional. For my intended job I only needed the 4 smaller split collets of the set, unfortunately for me, 3 of the 4 collets I required were supplied with stripped out internal threads, meaning the pin bolts had nothing to screw into and as such rendered the collets completely useless. So, NO I do not recommend this product, it is NOT good value and NO it is not of good quality. In hindsight I would have been better off paying for the specific split collet sizes I needed from a recognised commercial brand.

  • Like a set that sells for twice as much

This set appears to be the same as those sold with a variety of different brands for double or more the cost. It’s good quality and does the job. Recommended.

  • Works as expected, good value imho.

Works fine, but I would recommend disassembly of the 8 puller heads before initial use and coating the threads/spindles with a good quality engine assy lube or anti-seize lube. Also never overextend the range of each puller head collet or it will get permanently ruined, just be guided by the range chart in this products ad.

  • Superb all round tool, brilliant.

The bearing puller worked well on the 4 different sized bearings that I removed from an old engine case. No damage caused to the cases. There is nothing negative I could say. Very good value for the money and even better as delivery was free. Thank you very much.

  • Pretty decent tool for the price. It worked for my purpose and only 1/3 the price of more expensive tools.

I bought so I could remove some small 6805 bearings in my TREK road bike with BB90 bottom bracket. One bearing has enough lip so you can tap out from the opposite side but the other bearing inner race is virtually flush with the inside of the housing so nothing to get a purchase on to tap it out. This did the job perfectly. Like I said, on one side there is almost no clearance between the inside of the frame where the bearing is and the inside lip of the bearing so had to be very careful lining up the jaws before tightening them, and took a few thumps with the slide to dislodge both bearings but this tool did exactly what I wanted it to do, and did it without any detriment to the tool. I read some previous reviews stating the lip on the jaws wasn't strong enough and gave way but I would question what they were trying to do with it, as I have a lot of tools and I believe this tool is made pretty robustly considering the price. I would think the sliding weight is not heavy enough to induce enough force to damage the lips of the jaws, but only my educated opinion and could be wrong. I also get that my intended purpose for this tool is not very demanding compared with what others might use it for but judging by the way it is made I think it should successfully remove most bearings without too much wear and tear. For my purpose there was zero wear and tear, although like I stated earlier, it's important to make sure things are lined up and sufficiently tightened before using it. PS: OHS warning. Make sure the fleshy bit of all your fingers are out of the way before you start using the slider! I have a nasty bruise where I pinched the skin on my first heavy whack! Fortunately I think I'll live... :0)

  • For the price its what I expected

Arrived really quick to Adelaide within 4 days which is amazing, the tool is unreal value for the amount you get but the quality of the tool is poor and would only recommend it for light personal use, not a professional tool by any means but is expected at this price point. 1 of the heads doesn't thread on as the start of the threads are flattened, all the others are fine so must be a 1 off quality control slip through. Also due to the pitch of the threads the heads are on a slight angle (not cross threaded) making the bearings difficult to pull out perfectly straight, which wouldn't normally be a problem but for my use case it was, pulling a bearing out of carbon fiber. Will be a really handy tool for many years to come for the rare occasions I need it. It deserves 4 stars but I gave 5 for being the cheapest price I could find.

  • Good value and worked well

Bought this to extract 3 blind bearings from a motorbike transmission, did the job really well. Slide hammer had good weight to it and bearing inserts were plenty tough enough to grip the bearings once tightened properly, the 3 bearings were removed in minutes. Impressed with the quality especially considering bargain price.

  • Pulls them out with no damage .

IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS ! I was having trouble removing a motorcycle gearbox bearing from a blind hole in a thin aluminium casting tried all the usual tricks bar welding to no availl . The purchace price was reasonable postage time not too long and quality good . I warmed the crankcase half on the heater fitted the right expanding adapter and out she came ! . I have also used it on a thin brass bushing in a fx holden steering box . THE tool works well and I can see myself using it lots in the future HIGHLY RECOMENDED .

  • Good value for a simple puller.

I don't use the bearing attachments so cannot comment on these, but the puller itself is good for general work. Well kitted and the case is quite handy too.
