great design but poor service and support
I actually just purchased a second one of these. I did it because I like them and they work so well for me. They are light weight and small. Easy to pack and carry. However, when the little soft rubber ring around one of the eye pieces fell off and was lost. I called to see how I could get a replacement part. It would take about 10 seconds to snap a new one on. It should not have been so easy to bump it off. It turns out there is no place that sells these parts in the US or Japan. There was an option to ship it back to Japan for service. I was told it would take months and that cost approached what it cost to buy a complete new one. This should have been a $0.50 part with $5 or $10 shipping and handling charges. Bottom line: Nikon service and support for me is a ZERO. The design is still very good.
