Best quality genuine article
Bought to replace the one on my good old E220 Estate that finally broke off in the carwash after 22 years! Arrived on time and well-packaged. Although more expensive than pattern ones, I went for the genuine Mercedes article to complement the lasting high quality of the car, and I was not disappointed. Poor quality, nowhere as good as the original.
Looks good and I don't doubt that it is a genuine Mercedes part. However, the material that it is made from is very inferior compared to the original. For example the two lugs which are used to turn and lock the star in place broke off at the first attempt. Compared to the original which has been on the car for 22 years there is just no comparison. The original turns and locks in palce beautifully; the replacement is frankly rubbish, hardly surprising when I saw on the box " Made In Turkey". I will probably glue the old star back into its original base and fit that at some stage. At least I know that the old star is good, original quality.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great replacement Mercedes star.
Quality metal and chrome product that looks just like the original - not surprising as it is a genuine Mercedes part. Easy to fit - took a couple of minutes once I'd found a YouTube video explaining how to fit it (the part doesn't come with instructions as i guess they are expecting it to be fitted by a Mercedes dealer).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Rattling great condition

Very very poor quality
Very poor quality. The fitting broke free on first attempt to fix it to the bonnet. Apart from the star, which looks OK, the actual fitting was like a bit of flimsy tin wrap. Don’t waste your time or money on it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mercedes Bonnet Hood Star
