    48 year old movie better than most today!

    I've loved this movie for decades & it's a great bonus to own it on blu-ray! There have been some great movies made since that are very similar (Poseidon with Kurt Russell is excellent too) but this one is the original & best! It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

    Audio needs some work.

    The Blu-ray looks great, but for a "HUGE" disaster flick from the early 1970s, wouldn't you think it would have 5.1 surround sound? It's only 4.1....which SEEMS to be just the front speakers and little bits from the rear speakers....that's the only problem I have with it.

    Poseidon would have been a sufficient title, as the ship, herself, experiences little of the adventure.

    This is an exciting, fast paced movie. The stars are perfectly cast as a the few brave travelers who seek to survive a huge sunami wave that capsizes their cruise ship on New Year’s Eve. Their leader courageously demonstrates that God “helps those who help themselves”. An unbeatable movie in the disaster film genre.

    You do not have a script that make the characters engaging at all, only on a very superficial level. For movie of this length it just did not work. Nevertheless, all the principals are excellent andengaging.

    Life always matters.....!!!

    Like many catastrophy movies, it is based on actual facts, but the human factor is fictional. The technical scenes of the capsizing of the ship was awesome. Performance of all the actors was superb. Should not be missed.
