Rejuvenate your old Laptop...
So I have a tired old Dell Inspiron 3520 that was really starting to slow down in recent years. I decided I wanted to freshen it up and give it some pep in it's step, After I upgraded the RAM from 4Gb to 12Gb and swapping the HDD to an SSD, suddenly it felt like a brand new laptop, but I decided I wanted more... I did a little searching which suggested that I try the i5-3380M CPU, which would fit the socket of my humble little Dell, and would replace my stock i3-2370M. I found a used i5-3380M on eBay on the cheap (I mean, it IS a 5 year old CPU by now) by a reputable seller, and 4 days later, I popped open the laptop and swapped 'er out, adding some fresh Artic 5 heatsink paste along the way. The results? Night and Day. Especially going to the Integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics. I play WoW, and I was getting MAYBE 20 FPS on the old CPU (but averaging close to 15). After upgrading, I'm hardly ever dipping below 30 FPS, even with a bunch of characters on the screen. This little CPU is a BEAST for what it is. If you have a Dell Inspiron 3520, or any laptop that has the G2 socket, get this CPU.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent processor at a good price.
This processor runs better than my last CPU than i had on my laptop, it consumes less power and is faster. I had a processor intel core second generation, but i change to this CPU because my laptop supports intel core third generation. I know because i have a chipset HM76 in my motherboard. Best processor for 3rd generation Intel that doesn't cost much.
This processor literally took 10 to 15 min to install and updated me from Intel 3000 to 4000 and on windows 10 and pretty much between a new ssd and this processor and a free windows 10 upgrade that you can still get you can turn any piece of junk into a pretty nice laptop for around 100 dollars all together. Good upgrade.
The processor is a great upgrade from a I3-3120m. Looking at the specs, there is allot in common though with that processor. I didnt expect such a big improvement in processing capability. The biggest difference is the mhz boost, and a slight increase in the hd4000 graphics mhz. Otherwise, they are all using the same unit, including the hd4000 and hyperthreading, 2/4 cores/threads. Awesome improvement though. Because I had to split the case of the laptop to install, and this was why I didnt select that it was easy to install, this can be a bit frightening to some.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Just buy it if you're considering it.
It's worth every penny. I actually want to use my laptop now. I run three monitors with zero issue. (2 external + laptop monitor) Also, 8gb ram and a SSD@6gb/s makes a pretty strong contender for everyday lifting.
