Great early impressions.
Runs very well and quiet in DC mode. Don't have a DCC controller so can't comment on DCC performance. I also have a Kato Portram trolley which I purchased prior to this unit. I like the Bachmann unit better. The light turns on even at low speed unlike the Kato which must be operated at a higher speed to get the lights to turn on. Also the lighting does not flicker at low power(speed) as it does on the Kato. Finally it runs very quietly and is totally unobtrusive in my living room running it while watching tv. The Kato is noisy at all but slowest speeds and definitely interferes while watching TV at any speed above the slowest with a high pitched whirring sound.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
