The experience of genuine kohl on the eyes is immediately noticeable - it soothes eyes and looks great. It slides on easily - but the downsides are that the stick is so thick you cant do fine lines, and also it tends to bleed so that by the end of the day you have panda eyes. Having said that you have to be careful with mainstream brands of kohl pencils because the 'stabiliser' that stops it smudging can end up stinging your eyes.
