Very Excellent Replacement! Very Excellent WiFi and Router Product!

This router is a top-notch performer and is a rare bargain. I purchased this router because I was resetting my old router two or three times per day to reconnect with the network and then replaced my old Netgear Router. In addition, I could not stay online with my PC while streaming video and buffering interruptions occurred while streaming. This new Netgear router eliminated all the problems. I have not reset it once since it was installed and it was really easy to set up. The system diagnostics software is excellent, but I have not needed it, other than for entertainment. I would recommend anyone to buy this Netgear router.

  • Top critical review

WIFI works well but the wired connection is poor

there is definitely a bug with this router. The WIFI works well but the wired connection degrades over time and requires a power cycle to reset the speed. The transfer speed then slowly degrades while steaming video to a smart TV and other devices. Other people are reporting the same issue.

  • Not as stable as the WNDR3700/3800 series

I bought this to use with LEDE/OpenWRT - which gives you much more control than the default firmware. Sadly, this is NAND based, and a bit difficult to work with at times. Despite being N750 (possible, thanks to market-speak), and has delicious Atheros chipsets, I find it to be an inferior product compared to the WNDR3700/3800 series. The radios are not as stable, and any update generally requires you to remove power to get the radios back online (this is a known issue). Save a couple bucks and get a WNDR3700 v1/v2, or a WNDR3800. You can directly side-grade those into LEDE, and have a very powerful router at an incredible price.

  • All you will need until 2020

This router is a great addition to any household. Range it great, easy to set up and supports a wide array of standards. There is absolutely no need to spend $100+ on a household router. You will not gain any speed or efficiency.

  • Good coverage and easy to set up

This does not have the most recent features, but will work well for all but the most demanding applications

  • 2nd WNDR4300 - Good product

This is my 2nd one. I had my 1st one 3.5 yrs and it still works but am randomly losing internet connection. So I thought it was time for a new router. I was very happy with the WNDR4300 so I got another one. This one is also losing connection once in a while. But usually restarting my laptop will reset it fine. So I am thinking it possibly could be my modem and not the router.

  • An order of magnitude

I decided to upgrade my Comcast Internet to Pro. After the upgrade I ran a speed and had a significant bottleneck from the Wi-Wi router (30 MBPS). It was an 8 year old Linksys so no surprises. I did a little research and found this Netgear N750 to fit the bill plus it getting good reviews. Installation wasn't too bad, got a little muddled setting it up through the browser but after a mouse click in the right place I was up and running. It has been a month and so far everything is working very well. I get over 75 MBPS down and 6 MBPS up. Wi-Fi 2.5GHz on one of my laptops is giving my 35 MBPS down and my son's Surface Pro at 5GHz is getting about 70 MBPS. I'm very happy with this router and expect to have it a long time.

  • Arrived early for a great price

Arrived a day early and works fine. Best price I could find for a brand new one.

  • Very limited range

From what I've seen (maybe mine is defective) but range on it is awful, next room is already half strength. As a result, speeds suffer. Have it upstairs and downstairs right under the router there is virtually no signal.

  • This is a fine little router, provides good speed (I have 100Mb/s Charter Internet and the WiFi range is over 400 feet

I have two of these routers, on is my main router connecting to cable modem and hardwired to three computers around the house and WiFi all over the house. The fourth port is connected to a second 4300 in the driveway and provides 2.4 GHz WiFi up to 500 feet distant and 5.0GHz WiFi up to 300 feet away. I have a shed about 300 feet from the driveway and a Netgear N600 (WNDR 2500) Range Extender in the shed and regularly achieve speeds of 50Mb/s using the ethernet ports on the 2500. Good little units. The main router and cable modem are plugged into a small uninterruptable power supply so I have WiFi for four hours even if the power is off.
