This little phone is so much better than a smartphone
Its a lovely phone. Unlike a smartphone, it doesn't break if you breathe n it, it doesn't fry your brain like smartphones do, it won'tbe spying on you like smartphones do, and it's not full of useless apps that no-one really needs or wants, like smartphones. It's way way cheaper thyan smartphones to run and its batteries last longer than 5 seconds, unlike smartphones. Chinese pinyin keyboard function instead of basic 'abc'
This phone comes from China so you need to set it up to not use pinyin or strokes as an input method for the keyboard. Predictive texting in English is an option but there is no way of getting rid of pinyin as one of the options to cycle through when texting and it takes the place of standard 'abc' function you're probably used to, so writing some words that aren't in the phone's dictionary is a relatively time-consuming and frustrating process.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The big little E1200i

nice and simple
I've had one of these phones for longer than I can remember. It' so worn out that there are no buttons on it and I worked it by using a bit of tinfoil on the contacts. I don't like change but didn't think I could get another the exact same until I saw this one on Ebay for about £10. I didn't want to get a different make or model in case it need ed a different battery or charger and was also worried about it being locked. However. I took a chance on this one and it's working perfectly. Just put my old SIM in it and it was good to go. Also discovered it has a different wallpaper and colour them (blue, white or green) so it's like a new model to me now. The old one had this feature too (obviously) but I didn't know. I ordered a used, discontinued mobile phone to replace my existing 9 year old phone which I use almost daily (which now has a cracked screen). The replacement arrived the next day. Cheap but not cheerful
Not sure if this is because the seller has overseas stock, but the text message auto-complete keeps being triggered back into Chinese. The keypad is either poor or defective and can't keep up with rapid input without missing letters, which is something I've not experienced on any other model of phone. If you want a cheap, light handset with no camera but a good battery life just to make calls on this might suit you. I wouldn't advise buying on eBay as the cause of the SMS issues could be stock intended for other markets and you never know what you'll get.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Purchased this phone it has a excellent standby of approx 14 days, yes 14 days of continuous battery life it is also very compact not great for texting because it has buttons not on screen keyboard but I bought this phone to make phone calls and I am not disappointed with its duration. This phone is OK, but it's a Samsung 1200R not a 1200i
This phone is OK, but it's a 1200R which it appears is really intended for Scandinavia. It came with the language set to English and I have used a similar Samsung phone before so I can operate it OK, but there is no English instruction manual, although you can find one for the 1200 on the Samsung web site. I was a bit disappointed that it is not a 1200i, but I have tried it with text and voice and it works OK on my UK SIM card. I am not sure if it is good value because I don't know what the difference is between the 1200R and the 1200i, but this was a few pounds cheaper than the other 1200s advertised.
