Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50mm Rifle Scope

About this product

Product Information

In the world of shooting accessories the Vortex Viper PST stands out as a milled one-piece scope. This scope is made for fast dialing and is an excellent piece of gear for shooters. It may be the only scope needed for rifles as it can adjust to all kinds of situations. The Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 riflescope is also a good combination for the average shooter and for competition shooting. The field of view is incredible. It can be used in tight quarters or it can be adjusted way out to infinity. The Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 scopes are made from a 30mm tube of aircraft aluminum. The scope offers high-quality optics with MOA scope. An additional feature is the MRAD (milliradian) scope which is what tactical shooters demand. The reticle on these Vortex Viper PST scopes has a four-inch low-eye relief for easy use. The field of view is from 4.8 feet to 100 yards. Adjusting and figuring the windage on these scopes is easy. The Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 riflescope has an FFP (first focal plane) found only on high quality riflescopes. These are waterproof for all conditions. The XD glass increases color and resolution which results in sharp images. The glass is coated with an XR-patented anti-glare surface on the outer glass. The Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 riflescope also has a glass-etched reticle between the optical lenses for reliability and durability. This offers the shooter a choice of four reticle views. First there's the EBR-1 (MOA) second is the EBR-1 (MRAD) third is the EBR-2C (MOA) and last is the EBR-2C (MRAD). The four options combined with the illuminated reticle means the shooter is sure to achieve on-target shots in low light. The durability of these Vortex Viper PST products is impressive. They have an Armor Tek coating to prevent oil dirt or scratches. In addition they have a hard anodized finish so there is no reflection. The inside of this piece of gear is filled with Argon gas to prevent fogging. The one-piece construction of these scopes is more durable under heavy use and the shocks of recoil don't harm them. The Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 riflescope reticle and its accessories are for any serious shooter's rifle. This scope comes with CRS zero stop (customizable rotational Stop). This means the shooter can dial back to zero after elevation adjustment. These riflescopes have a precision spring system as well. The precision spring system means you can maintain the exact focus for many shots. The Precision-Glide erector system is made with high-quality parts meaning you can smoothly magnify under adverse conditions. This riflescope has a fast focus eyepiece that allows for quick focusing. It also comes with a Mag-View Fiber Optic that has a visible point for magnification. The Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 scope is 15.5 inches long and weighs 23.4 ounces. The adjustment graduation is 0.1 milliradian. The travel per rotation is 5 MRAD and the max elevation and windage is 19 MRAD. It has a Parallax setting of 50 yards to infinity. The Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 riflescope with PST EBR-1 reticle optics works with any rifle.

  • First time down grading a scope

I am pleased with this line of rifle scopes. This is my first deviation from Schmitt&Bender, Nightforce, and 1 Lupold tactical scope. Glass quality is fine, the turrets are snappy and good. I like the graduations hash marks on the turrets and the parallax works fine. Good idea by Vortex to have multiple off positions for the light between graduations. I also am okay with the usage of shims to emulate a zero stop for the scope. Very clear instructions and well though out user manual. I am a SFP fan, one can use a range finder for distance estimation and I like the reticle staying the same size. The FFP and Zero Stop just adds to the cost. Liked the first 4 X 16 I also purchased the 6X24. I run these scopes on the AR 15 and AR 10 platform and with out the sun shade they fit well and look like a scope to physically fit this platform. • Great optic for precision shooting

This was top of the line several years ago. It’s still just as good but for a lot less. For 3 times the price you will get a few more bells and whistles from vortex but you cannot ignore the quality and function of this scope for the money. She’s bright and clear edge to edge. And has matching ffp hashes and turrets. I got the EBR 2C in Mil-Rad. The knobs have a positive feel and are easy to read to help to avoid losing track of how many turns you did for long shots. The zoom is smooth and accurate. At max zoom you do loose the bottom 2 lines of the reticle. However that’s a lot of zoom on a 6x24-50 scope. Don’t forget the no hassle vortex warranty either. I just cannot fault this scope.

  • Nice for the price

Optics are clear with slight pincushioning at edges. Light transmission starts to drop off above 20x but still good at 24x. I have my doubts about the illuminated reticle but it's there anyway, Reticle is sharp and useful. Turrets are positive and repeatable with decent range. Philippine manufacturing still comes up a tad short but better than China. Lens coating shifts toward yellow/red hues. Only Sightron SIII is better in this dollar range but costs a bit more.

  • great value

Very clear optics, return to zero is and excellent feature, easy to sight in. Very pleased with construction and looks. Features are comparable to much higher priced scopes.

  • Good buy

I bought this after looking around for quite awhile. The features and quality surprised me for the price point. This was my first Vortex Scope. Since purchasing it I have went on to purchase two additional Vortex optics. I highly recommend this product. Glass clarity and ease of use are good. On pair with Leupold MK4.

  • Viper Vortex PST

WOW!!!!! Great scope, Awsome clarity. Fast delivery speed. As advertised on ebay. Awsome scope. Vortex kills it with their PST version!!! Everything is tight and solid. Best scope you can purchase for under $1000 with all the high end features it has.

  • Best darn scope I've ever owned!

This scope is magnificent. Extremely clear. Fine crosshair with the ability to light up. When shooting at the range, the other shooters have spotting scopes. I can see bullet holes normally before they pick them up. The guarantee is second to NONE! I was told this is a good scope but until you own one for yourself you'll never know. Also, I've had several other scopes and this scope has much less mirage than any other I've owned.

  • Viper

Wanted the best. Got the best. I love this scope for my savage 300 winchester mag. This scope is huge. Still able to use a med scope ring. Only wish is that I had different crosshairs. This model has standard crosshairs. Hard to make moa adjustment without hash marks. Otherwise perfectly happy with this scope.

  • Vortex Viper PST - FFP (first focal plane)

Very well made scope. Clear glass. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. but it is set up on my rig. Be sure to torque the scope rings to the proper level. All of the reviews I read, brag about how easy to use and how accurate this scope is. Haven't heard a bad review yet. That is what helped me make my decision to buy one.

  • Great scope for the money!

I have this scope mounted on a Savage model 10 Predator hunter in 6.5 Creedmor cal. Have been using this rig for long distance target shooting and it's a winner. This replaced a Nikon Monarch that I had on another rifle and for me this is a better choice. The image is very clear and the paralax adjustmet and illuminated reticle as well as the manification adjustment and focus allow me to really dial in the clarity. I just added a Vortex Switchview Lever which makes the magnification adjustment a lot easier and quicker. I have a similar scope on the same rifle in 22-250 cal for varmint shooting. I'm very pleased with both!
