  • Tack Sharp Macro

With a focal length comparable to 120mm, this lens produces crisp, sharp details at comfortable macro working distances. It provides a fairly rapid focus when set within the correct range and produces decent images at greater distances as well. It's basically a "two-fer" in that it is the perfect macro while also an f/2.8 moderate telephoto. The body is a high quality polymer or plastic material for light weight and it seems very durable. As a sealed, internal-focusing lens, it has the o-ring mount so is a little stiffer to install, though easy to grip, and remains a constant length during use. What a beauty - this is a lens is a keeper!

  • I love this lens!

Yet another excellent quality Olympus Micro 4/3 lens. Putting it into macro mode is perhaps a bit un-intuitive at first, but there are videos online that explain everything you need to know. I posted some of my very first macro images taken with this camera and the response was great. Sometimes in macro mode when I am shooting something that is relatively small in the frame the AF hunts and will choose the wrong focus point. But I find that if I put my fingers in the same plane as I'm trying to focus on and close to it, and focus on my fingers, then I can get the subject more in focus and then just moving over to focus on my subject AF works fine. The focusing ring is smooth and nice to use. All in all, this is a great lens and has quickly become one of my favorites among my excellent Olympus and Panasonic primes. I would highly recommend it, especially to everyone who is interested in macro photography.

  • Having Fun

This is listed not as a "Pro" lens, but it produces excellent quality images since it is a prime lens. The 120mm equivalent length is a good choice by Olympus. I am not using it professionally but as a hobby, but wanting the best images. The lens has made macro simpler, and the focusing switch makes it easy to get a clean shot. I also have added diopter filters to the front of this lens with very good results.

  • Great sharpness both as Macro & Prime

Excellent quality images from this lens and very good bokeh. Compact with tiny circumference, 46mm filter threads and lightweight which is great for the M4/3 cameras. Using it on Oly PenF..have not tried it on the Panny G3 since that camera does not have in body IS. The lens hood is an accessory and it slides in and out .. so staying out of the way when doing macros. Very pleased with image quality and highly recommend the lens. I have used it more than my zoom lens since getting it because it is FUN to use!

  • Impressive!

Great all around lens, although a little large for the micro four thirds body (with adapter). Like the quality feel of the controls. Focus speed is not that noticable and certainly not an issue for me. I believe the 12-40 lens would be a better pairing for the micro platform and the 40-60 range wouldn't be missed by me, but along with the newer lens, my wallet would be lighter.

  • Great Macro Lens

Great lens for macro work. Allows app. 7" of focal distance to the subject matter for 1:1 magnification, which is especially good if you want to light subject matter without any obstruction from the lens. Images are very sharp edge to edge. Highly recommend.

  • Perfect M4/3 Macro and Portrait Lens

This lens is a must have for macro OR portraiture with a Olympus micro four thirds. I use with a ring light/flash and lens ring for macro work. Fast lens, ring light and focus stacking with the e-m10 mark II gives amazing results. Also - even though 60mm would be 120mm equivalent - this allows what feels like a perfect working distance for outdoor portrait work. Absolutely gorgeous results with lovely background blur. This is my new favorite lens!

  • Great lens

One key benefit is that it has a longer minimum focus distance than many other macro lenses. which makes macro shooting easier. You're always going to have to be close to the subject, but every inch of distance you can get is good, so you don't end up blocking your own lights, scaring the subject (if it's a live insect, etc.) Another is that the switch on the side limits the focus range for autofocus, so it focuses much faster. You can also set it to exactly 1:1 focus any time, with that same switch.

  • The 60mm is as good as they say!

I had heard a lot about the 60mm for macro and it doesn't disappoint. This is a great lens and fantastic value given its performance. It's not just for macro, it shoots very nicely for other purposes as well, and it's small and light. Just my 2 cents worth.

  • Best Macro lense for MFT

If you're into macro this is the best lens to get for MFT, and a side bonus you can get very sharp portraits as well. the best part about it is the relatively long distance between the object and the front element while doing 1:1 macro, which enables you to properly light the subject.
