I am certainly in love with this film and I will not be persuaded otherwise.
This film is amazing! The cast does a fantastic job and Rupert Penry-Jones is swoon worthy! English is not my native language so having the subtitles helped catch all the nuances and beauty of the english language. Don't get me wring I understand 98% of what is said but sometimes having it in writing helps my brain catch it better especially the last two percent I might not have gotten. I recommend watching this movie, if you love Jane Austen, are a hopeless romantic or loves movies depicting this time period. EXCELLENT VERSION
I was surprised I so much enjoyed this version of Persuasion. I have long enjoyed the 1995 version, but this was played a little different to the other but very captivating too. In the 1995 version Amanda Root was more restrained in her grief, but Sally Hawkins was very obvious with her tears of regret. The production and casting were very good. And it was a very romantic version of Persuasion which is one of my favourite Austen books.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
