Good for chair, not for tables
I bought a couple different kinds to shade our outdoor relax spots. If you are mounting it to a chair or stroller the clamp works great and can be angled to almost any need. I have built in benches along railing. When clamping it to a bench or railing it doesn't hold very well. But it wasn't meant to either I don't believe. If mounted to a pipe or round surface it works great. I really wanted the versatility of the jointed umbrella. It's not ideal in my case. not worth the trouble
we ordered the XL and it was not an XL so we sent it back. It does not hold tight to the bar on my rider and it slips. it is too small to work with a riding lawn mower even though they advertised it to be used for a riding lawn mower. the concept seemed like a good idea, but the design does not seem to be well thought out. it was totally useless to me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Umbrella
I purchased two of these umbrellas to clamp on to my baseball scorers table. With their adjustability, we can maneuver the umbrellas to shade me from the hot Arizona sun while I'm keeping score at my Son's baseball games. They can be adjusted in just about any position and then the umbrella itself turns on the shaft so you can place it anywhere you need. Does The Job
I wish it were wider like some of the canopies that are sold already attached to the lawnchairs. My lawnchair reclines somewhat because it has a footrest attached, so it's a little more difficult to protect myself from the sun with this one. Not for rough surfaces or too much wind
This umbrella is OK for attaching to a beach chair or other stationary objects, but it fails when attached to a moving object such as a child's stroller. The adjustable arm is not strong enough for bumps and other rough surfaces. And of course it fails when there is too much wind (like any other umbrella). will clamp at multiple angles and provide you some shade or some rain protection but not huge so "some"
The joints have nice push button joints that lets them adjust to any angle. The clamp has two joints to assume any angle and is spring loaded so it opens by itself as you loosen the knob so you're not fighting the clamp to remove or attach the umbrella to something one handed. Its not a big umbrella. Its about the size of your standard collapsible umbrella but the shape is offset as pictured. (a short side and a long side). Its got a decent weight (couple pounds) so a chair thats not being sat in might tip without tipping the umbrella to balance. I got it for summertime outdoor events so I wouldn't be sitting in the sun but it kept me somewhat dry at a recent music festival too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
