    Large capacity; very good squirrel defense.

    The Absolute II Squirrel Proof bird feeder lives up to its name. I have seen this fedder repel dozens of squirrel attacks and yet ge very attractive to a variety of seed eating birds such as finches, cardinals, nuthatches, grossbeaks, etc. The weighted bar can be adjusted for birds of varying weights so it is relatively easy to cater to the small and medium-sized birds and give the grackels a real workout. I have used this type of feeder for years. It is being bought to replace a previous Absolute II that fell victim to a black bear attack (have now moved the feeder at least 8 feet off the ground and hung it out on a branch - too high for bears to reach and, contrary to popular belief, black bears are great tree climbers BUT don't like venturing out on tree limbs as they fear a branch breaking). You will get at least one (maybe two) squirrels that can manage their way past the weighted bar and get to the seed but it is a hassle for them. To be very truthful, I have never come across a 100% squirrel proof feeder but this one is by far the closest. By the way, it's metal construction insures these little beasties won't end up chewing it to bits.

    Awesome feeder and customer service!!!!

    Thus far I have seen no squirrels on the feeder. The last "squirrel proof" feeder failed miserably. It was easy to get ready for feeding and was already assembled, so nothing hard at all to do. My birds are seemingly enjoying feeding without interference now.

    This is a good large feeder.

    This is a good feeder, but has a flaw with some of the spots where birds can get their feet caught. I decided to silicone all the spots that might be a problem, and have had no problems, and the birds are using it daily.

    Best bird feeder out there

    I had a similar bird feeder in my seaside location for 20 years. This one, while perhaps not as well constructed, is pretty close. I’ll take 10 years. The birds love it and the squirrels get the droppings. This product is the real deal.

    Bring it in at night, Squirrel proof bird feeder. A+ on this one.

    This is the best bird feeder we have purchased so far. Probably 9 before this, the squirrels would empty in 21 minutes. You just gotta bring it in at night so the bears and raccoons don't destroy it.

    Works great with a little grease or vaseline on the pole

    Holds a lot of feed and easy to adjust for bird weight. Have it mounted on the pole it came with and squirrels can still feed. must grease the pole and then squirrels are shut out

    Good for most birds. But not for my larger woodpeckers 🥲. They do make the feeder close on them. But this does keep all the squirrels, even the little red ones, away! Definitely would recommend.
