Prefect for the job
I have been using this cat flap for 18 years and this is my 3rd one. Through constant use, a 100 times daily as my cat has fee access to the outside, you have to expect them to break at some time. Every 10-11 years seems okay to me. It has to be replaced with the exact same one as the hole is cut in glass and I'm not going to pay for another pane of glass. We just replaced our old dog dog (identical version) after over 12 years, only because exposure to the elements dulled the perspex and rusted the little magnet at the bottom of the flap.
