I've had the Yamaha LL16-12 ($999.00), the solid wood version of this guitar, and I would saw you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference! The Yamaha FG series guitars are slightly larger than a dreadnought guitar (Yamaha calls them mini-jumbos) and the volume really confirms it. Easy play neck and new scalloped bracing add to an already great guitar to complete the package. You can't go wrong with this one!Verified purchase: Yes
