Take control of one of ten characters and prepare to battle the remaining fighters in your quest for power.<br><br>Choose from the following ten combatants: <br><br>Ahau Khan, an ancient high priest.<br>Anubis, the Egyptian god of mummification.<br>Cy-5, a cyborg from the year 2096.<br>Kabuki Jo, a medieval samurai warrior wearing red and white facial paint.<br>Maximus, a gladiator who hides behind an iron mask.<br>Pagan, a sorceress skilled in the black arts.<br>Tak, an idol from a civilization long forgotten.<br>Voodoo, a tribal witch doctor.<br>Vallah, a sultry Viking goddess.<br>Warhead, a top soldier trained in nuclear weapons. <br><br>WarGods is a translation of Midway's 1996 coin-op game, offering one block button, two punch and two kick buttons, as well as a special 3D button. The 3D button can be used to jump, walk or slide anywhere within the arena. Each character also has a damage meter that will gradually diminish as he or she receives blows; when the green bar turns to red, the character is in danger of suffering defeat.<br><br>Before advancing to the next opponent, players must first win two fights against the current WarGod. After defeating the main fighters, players will then have to face two boss characters: Grox and Exor. Options include five difficulty levels, adjustable continues (up to a maximum of five), fatalities and customizable control settings.
