SynopsisBeau is called upon to investigate the brutal murder of a five-year-old girl. As Beau delves into the case, he is positive he has his killer until other bodies start piling up. The murders appear to be the work of a demented individual who may be drawing closer to Beau himself. Winner of the American Mystery Award., The little girl was a treasure who should have been cherished, not murdered. She was only five-too young to die-and Homicide Detective J.P. Beaumont of the Seattle Police Department isnt going to rest until her killer pays dearly. But Beaumonts own obsessions and demons could prove dangerous companions in a murky world of blind faith and religious fanaticism. And he is about to find out that he himself is the target of a twisted passion . . . and a love that can kill.
Read another book in the series and really liked it so decided to start the series from the beginning so I would also understand the sub story about his personal life.
