Break too easily
Bought 6 usbs to use in the living room and in our cars. We loved them at first because they arrived quickly and packaged nicely. The first day 1 didnt work, it was too loose in the charging port. We swapped it out for another, thinking it was a fluke. Now, 1 month later, we have 3 that dont work. The other ones also started to slip out of the phone socket after about 5 uses. Very disappointed as we liked the usbs a lot. They are long and look very similar to the OEM chargers we got in the box. The one time you want OEM parts for your product. One of these lasted about 4 months? Maybe a little longer. I forget. Anyway, if I didn't sleep with my phone plugged in with ear buds, I have no doubt these would years without having to replace them. The cord I gave to my father is still going strong. This Cable Seems Tougher!
The cable is of good construction and has a good fit with connector. I actually like the quality of this cable better than the cable that came with the phone. The cable is in a quality test at the moment. I will report how long this cable last compared to the original. The original cable lasted a little over 2 years and I was very careful with the cable. The new cable I purchase seems a lot tougher.

Bought 2, one melted
I purchased two of these cables and they seemed fine at first... They charge, they register to the phone as being fast chargers. However both of them lost the solidity of their connection within a couple of days and are now wiggly when connected and come disconnected with almost no force applied. More importantly, just the day before yesterday I woke up to a burning smell and found that my charger which I left charging while I slept had gotten extremely hot and the plastic housing around the connecter that goes into the charger had melted. At first the cable was excellent and worked great. It fast charged as it claims. But shortly after, it started making a false contact with the phone.
