Continuing in the footsteps of its predecessors, this atomic clock radio is the clock that you set once and forget. Featuring a stylish white face and a large bright-blue display with white text provides high contrast and has a wide viewing angle for easy reading from just about anywhere in your room and leaves such a small footprint it will leave you with the impression of quality. The clock starts by connecting to the atomic clock in Boulder, Colorado to set the most accurate time keeping technology currently available. Once the signal is found it will synchronize every hour to ensure that it is the right time, all the time. Once the clock is set you can program the dual alarms to wake to your favorite AM or FM station or take advantage of the Humane Waking System that begins with a low volume beep and gradually increases in intensity to slowly wake you instead of receiving a firm jolt that others provide. With its intuitive design you have the ability to select the days of the week you wish the alarms to wake you, meaning you never need to worry about being woken up on the weekends, or forgetting to turn the alarm on during the week. Once you set it, you can forget it. It also features Sangeans Super Capacitor that provides memory and alarm memories for up to 1 hour during a power disruption, eliminating the need for a battery backup. For the ambitious power nappers of the world the clock features a NAP function that can be set to wake you in 10 minute intervals up to 2 hours without re-setting the alarms so that you can get the most of your power nap. There is also a handy sleep timer that allows you to fall asleep listening to your favorite radio station from 15 minutes up to 2 hours. With the Aux-input you can connect your iPod or a CD player to enjoy your favorite Soothing Sounds CD or digital music collection to fall asleep. Good Radio, Excellent Reception but Display is Too Bright
I like everything about this radio, except the display. It is so bright it lights up my bedroom, which being a light sleeper is a problem for me. There is a dimmer but the change is minimal. this is the third radio I have and it i's been a great radio both for my bedroom and the bath area. never having to worry about the time, since it's synced to the Colorado time center. The adjustable light can be lowered for the bedroom or set higher for my bath area. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

Good clock radio
It is easy to use and allot of good functions. The only thing I don't like is I can only choose weekday, weekend, all the time or once alarm. I work Friday night till Tuesday night and it will not program for the days I need like my cell phone. I bought this high end alarm clock because I was hoping to have the choice to choose the days I need and not have to always remember to have my cell by my bed as I go to sleep before work. Great radio for the price
This is the 2nd RCR22 I've owned and the quality is terrific. The atomic clock works as advertised, however it does take some massaging during the time change in spring and fall. Not the radios fault though. The radio is really sensitive in getting stations. The only negative is it doesn't get HD Radio signals. Overall, you can't beat Sangean for price and quality. PROS. The last alarm clock I will ever want or need.
This is a great alarm clock because of the neat features it has. It wakes you at a volume you almost can't hear and then it increases slowly so as not to jolt you awake, I really like that. Also the display light is adjustable so that it isn't too bright when you sleep and then when the alarm goes on the display light brightens so I can see to find my glasses on the night stand. The time never needs adjusting and I set all my other clocks, watches etc. by it. Very well built and designed and should last me a life time.
