Love this electric toothbrush! I had purchased some disposable battery operated toothbrushes in the past. Then my son ordered this toothbrush (in black.) He said his teeth felt SO clean ... and with less effort. So I bought one (in white.) I just love it! Your teeth feel clean/polished and your gums feel good, too. The battery life is excellent. Don't like it so far
I had used Oral B electric toothbrushes for years and when the last one died recently, I thought I'd try something different and ordered the Sonicare 5100. Unfortunately, I am not happy with it because it vibrates very fast and although it has three settings, there is no difference between them. Superior cleaning action and best all around.
Sonicare makes a superior toothbrush! Its basic action simply cleans the best and is gentle. The downside is a bewildering proliferation of models, features, brush heads, and prices. The 5100 is not too overloaded with extras and does a great job. I follow with Listerine in the water flosser and get great hygiene. Hard to Beat the Sonicare Electric Toothbrush!
Great electric toothbrush. Have had a 6500 model previously, but didn't need all of it's features. This one was just right and works perfectly! We also use Oral B Genius electric toothbrushes which clean very well, but I prefer the battery life, smaller size, and better cleaning, at least to me, of the this Sonicare 5100 model.as well as our other Sonicare 6500 model.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

An effective tool for teeth and gum care
I bought this as a gift for a friend. I have been using Sonicare for years and recently updated to this model. I am convinced that the vibration beats out the circular motion operation of the major competitors product.I particularly like the "new" quad pacer feature which beeps every 30 seconds. It helps you do a good job and makes that two minutes seem to go faster. The unit also holds its charge considerably longer the older model. Light, Quiet & Powerful!
This is my third Sonicare - over time each previously has failed me. My first generation the button wore out. The second the shaft in which the brush attaches to got wiggly (probably from not utilizing the provided carrying case). This Sonicare 5100 was my most recent replacement and love it already. It's lighter, quieter and does the job. I knew my other was failing, but I can feel now how it needed to be replaced much sooner. eBayers, pay note to the color. I didn't realize this product was a light blue in color. It's depicted on the box but could easily be overlooked (I did). Works great but not white in color. Perhaps the Target Special is different? Continuation of a fine line of electric toothbrushes
This is my 3rd Sonicare toothbrush. The first one lasted for about 10 years and I was pleased with it. The 2nd I still have and it is 6 years old and I think the battery is giving out. So this brings me to this new HX689571 model. I have only been using it for about 2 weeks and so far so good. I only use the "clean" feature and this one is similar to my previous model.
