recommend this opener it's great.
Arrived in less than 24 hours after I paid for it. Was not too difficult to swap it over for my previous opener which was a different brand altogether. Had it finished in one afternoon. Garage door was custom made to fit my double carport a few years ago so is much bigger than a standard size door. Hard to find an opener that could handle this door. The only noisy part of the opener is the door itself!

Should have done this year's ago.
After much research I went with Merlin. Original Glidermatic GTS was so noisy I had to park my car out front overnight when I started work early or else I would wake the dead. Great Diy option to replace faulty garage door motor
I bought this garage door motor to replace an Avanti brand door motor which I had ongoing problems with. This motor is so much better! The build quality of this motor seems to be quite good. It is heavier and more powerful than the rubbish Avanti one originally installed. It was fairly straight forward to install however the installation instructions could have been written better. They are a bit confusing. The set up and testing of the motor once installed was easy. I have been using the motor for 3 months now with no issues. Everything about this garage door opener is top-notch. Excellent build quality, strong, sturdy and clearly made to last from quality materials. Installation took about an hour as a first timer, and required minimal tools or skill! The opener really is genuinely silent too. Comes with 2x keyring remotes and a seperate GPO sized wall Plate remote button. It’s really DIY
I have a tilt double garage door /old one with the weights on the side. I contact a couple of people to have a look and give me a quote but all of them said it’s too old and no way. Then I read the reviews on this opener then said to my self will give it a go, took me 3 hrs to install it , my garage door become automatic one save me a lot of $$$$ to replace it.
