Bought these books a watched the tv series and wanted to see if it was anywhere near accurate. I have to say, it's wasn't that far removed. I have to say though, the books are so well written, eloquent, and thoughtful. It's hard to believe London was, as it was, a mere 60/70 years ago. The books are insightful into everyday lives.
