Don't really know
Replaced the gas cap and the "Gas cap loose" message cleared. One week later it returned. I don't know yet whether I have a different problem (probable), or if the gas cap seal didn't hold up. I haven't checked the purge canister or the canister vent valve yet. It is however a direct replacement part as advertised.
