School House Rock
Teaching many useful school oriented details through music, comedy and cartoons. The easiest way to learn “The Preamble” to the constitution of the USA, multiplying by 3’s, how a law is passed any much more. These are the exact segments that aired on tv in the 70’s. The picture quality is the same and so is the quality of information. The CD with the same title is a good addition to learn along with the dvd, as the dvd has the visual which helps for memory, and many many songs not included on the cd, but the music on the cd is much more modern and appealing to the children in this millennium. Ive owned two sets of each- dvd and cd, for teaching my first set of children born in the “90”’s and my second set born in “00”,s. I doubt the average child today would choose watching this over a mindless cartoon movie looking just for entertainment, but for a child who likes to learn or who doesn’t learn easily, this dvd is immensely valuable. My “00”’s children watch these when told, with no complaints, and sometimes miss the real message because they are finding the humor more entertaining. I started my children out around 5 watching, as many of the concepts are useful in elementary school, like: conjunction junction, electricity, the interjection song and my hero zero, but it has ideals needed even into high school. All four of my children learned to skip count from “3, is the magic number”, we all learned the “preamble” from the cd version, I still sing: lolly get your adverb song, unpack my adjectives and Mr Morton when trying to help with English homework. Wont auto play the songs - Never able to get past the 1st one
As much as I LOVED all the songs and skits growing up, I couldn't wait to play them for my grandchildren! However, I never got the video to play past the first track - Conjunction Junction - and hearing it over and over just doesn't cut it - will most certainly drive a person bonkers (or was I already? I absolutely love these Animated shots broadcast on ABC starting in the 70's. This is a great collection of all the Schoolhouse Rock cartoons. Very educational, they helped me in school so many times, because of their Catchy Lyrics. Grammar, Multiplication, American History on Invention, Government, Money Science and Independence. Passing down memories to the next generation!
I absolutely love this product. I am not a baby boomer, I’m 26 years old, but I remember these fondly from my school age days. I still remember the songs to this day. I decided to homeschool my children, and looked on YouTube to find these as we are learning grammar and math and she is very into science and social studies at age 6! She pushes me to teach her more, she is a sponge! I grew up watching these in school and thought she would love them and to add a different format to our school day! She absolutely loves them and I enjoy hearing her singing conjunction junction, I’m just a Bill, ect! Excellent Buy!!! I will use this dvd set for every child of mine! They just don’t make stuff like this anymore! Glad I can pass down the fond memories I had of these shows growing up to my children.

Very Educational
I grew up with Schoolhouse Rock and consider it a great educational tool. If I could still remember learning prepositions, conjunctions, adverbs, and so much more after all these years, I wanted to give my grandchildren the same experience and opportunity. This is a great learning tool for sentences like conjunctions and a mix of stuff like how a bill becomes a law and our constitution! Bill is your helper along the way..I guarantee these songs 🎵 will get stuck in your head and help you remember what terms they're talking about like conjunction junction and I'm just a bill on capitol Hill.. Just as good now as then!
I taught school in the 70s and actually had the 16mm films of Multiplication Rock. The kids would come in to start the day, from recess, or from lunch and I would show one a day.
