For the price it is just horrible as it is not more than TOY product. Camera is horrible. If you want to give it to school children it will be disappointing to them, as when they take a picture from the camera they will get a very poor quality shaken picture...you can take a better picture from your vintage camera phone. if you just want to view something, it is ok,but for that purpose similar model is available for under $20. I got very disappointed as it was bought to give some one as gift. I did not give it to avoid embarrassment as it is for a teenager. Well built with poor camera and optics
The binoculars are well built easy to use controls etc. The lenses are just adequate but not of a high quality. The camera works easily . The image captured is poor and although I have tried all the different settings to find the optimum setting which is about 5mega pixel , but the resulting image is poor and lacks the detail expected. By the cost of the binoculars they are good value, but disappointing results by todays standard of small cameras . Not even close when comparing to the image you would get from a mobile phone so surprised that a name like Vivitar would not put a better camera into the system.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Binoculars
Too difficult for me to figure out. I couldn't make it take pictures and the instructions were insufficient to be useful. I gave this to my niece who really liked it. Go figure. There ought to be a warning that tells old folks not to get this for themselves. Idea is great, however, since I like to watch birds and photograph them.
