This is the worse Fry Daddy ever made, no wonder it was discontinued. My wife used it one time before I throw it in the garbage. She tried frying chickens livers it got so hot it burned the livers and burned the grease. It's not huge, doesn't have a lot of parts and pieces. Get to temp right away, fries my fish perfectly. And clean up isn't a hassle, because of it just being a "pot". works as described .. The Elite is much bigger than I thought it would be. It takes a lot of oil to fill to the min. line. One can fry large amounts of food at one time. Great for a family. That being said I live alone and this unit is to big for one. So I will give it to someone that has more than one person.
