It will take any directory structure you'd like, so you can organize your new titles however you want.If you are having trouble getting a separate game console to recognize this drive, then you can create multiple volumes on it. Each time the device boots, it might be able to check the partition table for logical drives. If this is the case, then you can split the 1TB capacity into more than one volume. If your game console can view huge volumes but requires the FAT32 file system, then this device supports that as well. It is compatible with third-party Windows utilities that create large FAT32 volumes. It is also compatible with the mkdosfs command used by Linux. I received this hard drive and installed it myself. It started working immediately. I used my backup disk to reinstall everything to the original version and it works like a charm. Save me a ton of money. If I had known it was this easy and reasonable, I could have saved $1,300 because I had to purchase another laptop immediately after this laptops hard drive quit.
