  • Amazing lens.

I love the fixed lenses for video, and this does not disappoint. Images so sharp with the right lighting, though it performs remarkably well in low light as well as bright situations. It has auto focus, but you're better off manual with such a huge focus ring 😀 I can't stress enough the less glass between the sensor and the source, the better the result (in my experience anyway), and between this 35mm 1.8 and my 50mm 1.4 I've been able to produce some fantastic images. I do have a 24-80mm I use quite a bit that does really well for just about anything, great lens, but this fixed 35mm will produce a better image than my other lens set at 35mm. It's all about what you will use them for, some people will have a use, some won't. If you do, don't hesitate, it's a great lens to add to the arsenal.

  • Sharp! (but AF not very fast)

This is my landscape lens that I could even use for some portraits. It's fast enough for me. For 35mm I also considered buying a Nikkor f/1.4 but decided against it because its extremely shallow DOF when open wide. If the focus is just a tiny touch off the picture will not look sharp. And I would have to pay more for the feature that I didn't need. I use the lens on my D750 and can see that it's sharp even far into the corners. One caveat to keep in mind when checking the sharpness: the AF is not really fast, so if you don't give it enough time to settle the focus might be off, either as a front focus or a backfocus depending on whether you're focusing away or towards you as you're taking the picture. So, don't rush! Also, I suggest that you do the AF calibration of the lens with your camera. In my case, I didn't need any correction for the combination of my camera and my particular lens (pure luck, I suppose).

  • Acceptably good

It's a no frills simple and good quality lens. Nothing too fancy or extreme. It does do the job, even in respectably low light conditions within the limit of f/1.8 aperture. It has an acceptable distortion and vignetting that can be controlled in the post. It is a nice general purpose lens for enthusists and semi-pro photographers.

  • Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8G ED FX Lens

An excellent, sharp lens that might be your new favorite if you’ve never used one. It took me years to discover how useful the 35mm angle of view is, but it’s that small difference between 35 and 50 (or 28) that puts it in a kind of universal sweet spot. Highly recommended, and the AF-S will work perfectly on everything from an F4 to a Z9 (with the FTZ I or II adapters). The 35 was a favorite of Annie Leibovitz, and now I understand why.

  • Great Prime Lens

Love this lightweight "normal" POV prime lens. Well constrcuted for a modern age lens. Great sharp images with very good color. Easy to use in all available light due to its wide aperture.

  • Nikon 35mm

Hey guys, This is a real person; my name's Joel. I was always hesitant to order because I always had this fear of getting money stolen but this was my first order and I'm very happy with my item. I have co complaints about my product. The lens was in great shape and all. Needless to say; I've been shopping a little more now !

  • Great street all arounder. Beutiful low light and boken

I own and love a 1.4 50mm, portraits, landscapes all around. I added this 35 for landscape and close in work. Love it, tack sharp and gets in close. Shooting in Museum low light was a dream. Highly recommend.

Excellent lens. Sharp and fast focusing

  • Awesome lens

As someone new to photography, I really like having this lens. It challenges me to compose my shots more thoughtfully as I have to zoom with my feet instead of relying on the lens. It’s very lightweight so it’s a nice replacement for my kit lens.
