Three steps forward, two steps back...
The new Schaller S Locks don't rattle when you move around like the previous model. This is a big improvement, and the main reason I upgraded. The screws that attach the new clips to your guitar are a larger thread than the previous model, and larger than many standard older strap buttons screws, though, so many users will probably need to drill a slightly larger hole to accomodate the screws. This might be a problem for some people and needs to be done carefully, especially on expensive guitars. The new screws are then "screwed" into the guitar body with a supplied Hex key rather than a standard Phillips Head screwdriver. Not sure why they did this. It works but takes a bit longer. Overall, I'm happy because the rattle of the previous model really bugged me.

One of the best guitar/base strap locks.
Thank you so much for it. It’s for an electric guitar that I’ll soon be making with gold hardware. And these strap locks are among the easiest and fastest ones to put on and take off the straps. And also one of the more secure ones that won’t let the guitars fall off while it’s being played. But I also have a black one of them on my guitar. And I might be buying more of them when I’m ready later on too.
