The Sansai Pocket Radio has good sound quality, and good reception for both AM and FM bands. I use the earphones mostly to listen early morning news and interviews because I am not sleeping all that well. Means I don't wake my wife. Very hard to get good reception

This was supposed to be a professionally designed radio, it failed the AM tuning at the lower frequency got bunched up ,so if you rotated the device it would tune into another station.
