Top of its class
This compass is top of the Button Class of compasses. I have a few Button Compasses, some of which cost more and are more robust, but this one is the best. This is my second Suunto Clipper compass and I can vouch for its long-term qualities. Many liquid filled compasses will develop bubbles that affect the reading. Mine has not. I can also vouch for its accuracy. A needle compass is intrinsically more accurate than a plate compass which the Clipper is. In comparison to my full-size hand-held and calibrated compass, this Clipper is as accurate as justified by its reading accuracy. Another button compass of mine is not. The Clipper's bezel turns and is probably its weak point as it can loosen up. Bearing in mind it is a button compass, the durability of the bezel should be adequate for its intended purpose. This Clipper is balanced for the Southern Hemisphere and it certainly balances better than my older N/H version (in Australia).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
