Also called the AirPort Extreme, the Apple A1143 router brings together the functionality of a network switch, a wireless access point, NAS, a router, and much more in the way of functions and capabilities. Four Ethernet ports mean you stay connected wherever and however you like, and the fully featured 802.11ac Wi-Fi based station makes it easy to catch a signal from anywhere in the vicinity. The AirPort Dick feature enables you to plug in a USB hard drive for use as dynamic network attached storage. You can also attach a USB hub and printer. This model also offers you Sleep Proxy Service as well as a built-in file server.

    Plug and play (almost)

    This is a very stable wireless device. I needed one more unit to extend the wireless network at a manufacturing plant. I already had 3 of these connected together (wirelessly). All I had to do was reset this to factory settings by using a paper clip to push the reset button. After that, airport utility recognized the unit and automatically changed the settings to extend my current wireless network. Very simple -
