Completely close pinholes in your tank with this KBS repair kit. This fuel tank sealer will treat tanks with a volume of 100L. Had a leaking long range tank in my Landcruiser for years and after getting it repaired numerous times it still leaked so I tried the KBS sealer kit. It cleaned all the rust from the tank first and sealed it up leaving a smooth polyurethane finish. what was left over after draining the tank I used to coat the outside. Great product.
I’ve used it in two fuel tanks with great success. Follow the instructions and preferably strap your tank to a cement mixer with some aggregate and a couple of litres of water for an hour to get rid of flaking rust before treating the tank. I’d recommend using the cleaner for a full 24 hours and the rust converter for the maximum recommended time. Don’t take short cuts. Excellent product that really works
This product does exactly what it claims but you need time and patience to achieve the best results. I followed the directions carefully but also allowed the cleaner and rust blaster longer than recommended to work as my petrol tank was VERY rusty. The extra time I took really paid off! Using a pressure cleaner also came in handy for flushing the built up crud and rust out. The inside of the tank is perfect now. Take extra time to get the inside of the tank bone dry after using the rust blaster and before putting the sealer in. It takes several hours, and preferably overnight to ensure the tank is perfectly dry inside after removing the rust. It is a time consuming exercise but I highly recommend this product.
