One problem: non-stick adhesives
I put this in my 1976 Martin. The adhesives were useless. I had to find an alternative. The adhesives provided had all the strength of a post-it. They would hardly stick to a piece of paper, much less hold up the weight of the pickup or control unit. One star off for the bad adhesives.

With the ability to dictate the ratio between the under saddle (bass) pickup and the TRU Mic (mids and highs) Bridge plate pickup - this set-up hits the mark! Once you find the sweet spot with the mix screw - you can rotate between bass and mid/treble with the dial inside the sound hole on the fly. Absolutely love it!

The best demanded the best
Although I may be burned alive for doing it, I did have to amplify a Martin acoustic (an HD16r, and not too old). Having an Element system in my other working guitar made the step-up process a no-brainer. The Anthem system installed with no hitches and now my Martin sounds ... well ... like it always did, except louder when it's plugged in.
