    Favorite Mobil CB.

    Works well, sounds good and doesn't have any unnessary "Bells and Whistles. The feature I like the most is. The audio is 7 watts of power which makes it sound clearer. This is their cheapest model with 7 watts of audio. I've had several for over 25 years and they all still work fine.

    This CB Radio is of good value and of good quality and I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a compact economical radio , without too much cash outlay. Get one that is working , the one that I purchased was advertised as " Fully functional" , but it was not. The microphone that came with it does work. I bought the radio for a young man to introduce him to CB Radio . I will get this one fixed , so that he will have a functioning radio. I have bought several of these radio's and have had very good luck with them when bought new.

    Philippine made Uniden 510XL

    Good receive and good reports on transmit. Stock microphone is all you need for over 100% modulation. Perfect for today's small cars with little room for big box radios. With the variable output installed has low dead key with lots of swing that drives the amps like the big radios.

So when I seen they were still being made I was quick to buy one up and put it in the cab of my grapple skidder.     Great little radio

    Great little radio if you just need a pretty simple CB for communications. The only 'feature' on this one is the ANL switch, which in my opinion is an absolute necessity being used mobile. These 510s are just about legendary in their reliability and toughness.

    Well unfortunately my radio had some tipe of defect even though was brand new..so it didn't work..just on and of and that was it..no sound or anything else..i end it up throwing it away in the garbage since i have no time for returning process and i bought another one at Wal-Mart..same model..i installed and it works like a winner..so be aware.

    A Okay with me!

    The Uniden Pro 510 XL is a powerhouse little radio. This was the first CB radioI ever owned. It was my Christmas present in 1995 at age 15. The first thing you notice with this rig is the sensitivity in receive. I'm not sure how, but compared to any other radio this size (considering it was manufactured circa 1992) it just has better components. Now, it's a very easy radio to work on. If you know the modality of cb radio, then you know how easy this radio is to set to 1.5 watts deadkey with insane audio quality. I've had swing on this radio up to 17 watts. It's doable with a Cobra CA-75 mic. This radio retailed for anywhere between 39.99 to 79.99 with the antenna back in the day. If you find a well preserved Uniden Pro 510 XL at a reasonable price BUY IT! YOU WILL BE INCREDIBLY SURPRISED God bless and 73's
