Sound good enough to buy a second time
I had this model headphones and was totally happy with it until it went mono on me. Purchased a set from a brand name supplier and the bass was boosted so much and the high frequencies attenuated so much that the background, like car traffic, roared and to the hear the spoken words it needed the use of closed captioning. Returned after hassle. Reading other reviews i found others wished, like myself, that Sony hadn't discontinued this model. My original problem was in the headset, not the transmitter so i bought another headset knowing in advance it's sound was acceptable and i wouldn't run into poor sound again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Be SURE Your Audio Source is Stereo
We had an older Sony Headset that my husband loved and thought this might be a good replacement. BUT in our old set if the audio output was not stereo, what sound there was still came to both ears. With this headset you only get sound in both ears if the source is stereo. If the source in not stereo the sound comes only to the LEFT ear. Because my husband is hard of hearing with better hearing in his right ear than his left, that did not work for him and we returned the headset.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Very good but head band is weak on this discontinued model.
I am familiar with this product. The sound quality is good but the head bad is weak and ultimately will break after about 3-4 years of continuous use if you are not careful in spreading it too wide, and this is why I give it a 4-star, we are on our third set now and they are discontinued so I bought them used to last me for the next5 10 years.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
